JNTU UPDATES

In the reference 1st cited above, the Government of Telangana notified LOCKDOWN in the entire State of Telangana as a precautionary measure to avoid the spread of Corona (COVID-19) Virus. In view of the above, the  POLYCET-2020 , which is scheduled to be held on  17.04.2020 , as per 2nd notified above is hereby  postponed  and the last date of sale of POLYCET-2020 application is extended up to 17.04.2020 without fine.

In continuation of the University Circular (2) cited and the G.Os vide ref (1) and (3) cited, the Government of Telangana have issued orders and continuation orders issued there to, that were given effect upto 31.03.2020, is extended upto 14th April 2020. Under the circumstances stated above, the Vice-Chancellor has issued following orders to prevent for spreading of COVID-19 Virus in the State of Telangana: i. All the Principals of the Constituent/Affiliated Colleges (Autonomous and Non-Autonomous) and Directors of all the Units are requested to close their respective Units  till 14th April 2020 .​

OU (Osmania University) :  In view of the prevailing situation due to spread of  CORONA VIRUS  and subsequent lockdown, all the Examinations of various Programs / Courses offered by Osmania University which were scheduled and which are to be scheduled as per almanacs, stands postponed and the revised dates shall be announced later.

In continuation of this Office circular under ref. (3) above, declaring holidays upto 31-3-2020 and incompliance of the G.0 cited in the reference (1) of the Government of Andhra Pradesh. 1 am by direction, informing that JNTUK shall remain closed for a period of 21 days with affect from 25-3-2020. As it has already been announced holidays till 31-3-2020 in compliance to G.0 cited in Ref (2), now  they are extended till 14-4-2020 , to lockdown the campus and its affiliated colleges and its constituent colleges. In view of the extension of holidays as cited above all of the university examinations scheduled, if any, during above period, have been postponed to a later date and the revised dates of the examinations shall be announced after 14-4-2020 and posted in the university official website. All the Principals of Affiliated Colleges and JNTUA CE, Kalikiri are hereby informed that as per the University direction, the examination schedules will be informed after reviewing the situation w.r.t. COVID-19 on 31.03.2020. In this regard, the notifications already issued for Pharm.D III Year Regular & Supplementary Examinations, April 2020 dated  09.03.2020  and B.Tech & B.Pharm IV Year II Semester Regular & Supplementary Examinations, April 2020 dated on  16.03.2020 are postponed  and the new dates will be informed later.

Andhra Pradesh 10th class exams 2020 have been postponed due to ongoing outbreak of covid-19. AP SSC exams have been postponed by two weeks. AP SSC exams were scheduled to be held from 31st March to 8th April 2020. New revised scheduled will be announced soon.

OU COVID-19 Virus Certain instructions from Government of Telangana-Circular issued

JNTUH (JNTU-Hyderabad) :  The students of UG (B.Tech and B.Pharm) and PG (M.Tech, M.Pharm, MBA and MCA) are informed to note that the prevailing deadlines for registrations of University exams have been postponed. The revised last dates for fees payment with / without late fee shall be intimated after resuming the academic activities in the University. Hence the students need not go to their respective colleges for fee payment/ exam related enquires, during these lock-down days.

The Telangana High Court on Friday ordered to postpone the Telangana SSC board exams 2020 that began on Thursday, March 19. The Telangana government had decided to go on with the SSC exams amid the coronavirus threat. The TS SSC exam has been conducted today, on March 20 as well. However, with the court’s order the exam will be postponed from tomorrow i.e., March 21. The TS SSC exam was scheduled to continue till April 6. Over 5 lakh candidates are registered for the Telangana class 10th board examination.  On Wednesday, Telangana recorded eight new positive cases of coronavirus taking a total number to 13 in the state so far.

The Government of Telangana have issued orders vide ref. read above and instructions to prevent and contain the spread of COVID-19 Virus in the State of Telangana stating that all educational institutions including coaching centres  shall be closed with immediate effect until 31.03.2020 . In view of the above, the Vice-Chancellor has issued the following orders to prevent and contain the spread of COVID-19 Virus in the State of Telangana: All the Principals of the Constituent/Affiliated Colleges and Directors of all Academic Units are requested to close their respective Units till 31st March, 2020.  However, all the scheduled examinations which are notified already shall be conducted . All the Seminars/Conferences and any other large gatherings in the University Campus/ Constituent/ Affiliated Colleges are cancelled till 31st March 2020. Biometric System of recording of attendance of students, teachers and other staff members is to be discontinued until further orders.

Osmania University :  Through the G.O. under reference cited, the Government of Telangana has issued certain instructions to prevent and contain the spread of COVID-19 Virus in the State of Telangana: In view of the above, all the Campus, Constituent, District PG Colleges and Affiliated Colleges working under the jurisdiction of Osmania University including Libraries will remain  closed till 31.03.2020  to prevent and contain the spread of COVID-19 Virus in the State of Telangana. However, the scheduled examinations (which are commenced already) are unaltered. The Hostels & Messes of the Campus and Constituent Colleges will also remain closed. Further, seminars, conferences, symposia, workshops, meetings, fests, students meetings, sports events, etc. will not be permitted as a preventive measure until March 31, 2020. However, all administrative offices/units will function as usual.

In view of local body elections and as per directions of Hon'ble Vice Chancellor,  all the examinations scheduled including Mid examinations during 20-03-2020 to 30-03-2020 are postponed . The revised schedules will be intimated soon. The students may be informed accordingly.
